The Awakening

For those of you who find this entry looking for information for information regarding The Awakening by Kate Chopin, I’m sorry but that’s not what I’m referring to here. I’m talking about coming out of my finals coma.

Basically, I’ve been missing for the past couple of weeks to do some serious study for finals, as this semester has easily been the hardest one to date. I took the equivalent of seven classes, and completed effectively twenty-two credit hours in one semester. Also, now that all is said and done, I’m out of it with four A’s and two B’s. I’m ecstatically happy about that.

One problem with basically going into study hibernation for a couple of weeks is that you get behind on e-mail. Between two chat lists that I like to read (although I’m an infrequent poster, it’s still nice to read), I was behind by about 900 e-mails. I actually read the content of about 600 of them. Most were short one-liner comments, but even so, sometimes those are the best e-mails.

Now, I’m actually caught up on every single piece of e-mail as far as I can tell. I feel like I’m going to faint.

On a lighter note, you’ll notice that I’ve posted two online test results in the past couple of days. I’m fond of online tests because they can be quite humorous. Sometimes they can be offensive, but I try to take everything in stride. They’re just as free to proclaim their ideals and thoughts as I am. It’s one of the things that makes the Internet a unique and beautiful place.

Now that I’m finally out of the woods with my studies for now, hopefully I will be posting more often.

I only have two classes left until I finish my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, so I’m quite happy. Mind you, of the last two classes I have left, one of them is supposed to be disgustingly difficult, but I’m sure I’ll be alright in there. The other one is effectively Geology 101, so I’m not concerned about that. I’m taking Geology 101 in the summer, a two-hour per day, four week class, and then I’ll take CS 461 in the fall. I may also take CS 433, as I’m looking for something that I could potentially further research, and it seems like an interesting course.
