Long Day

So, today was quite a long day in some respects.
I forgot that today is my wife’s goofy schedule day, so I didn’t get up till 8am, which is when I meant to be at work. Oops. I got ready and went down to UNM’s hospital, as my stepdad was receiving a PET scan. [...]

Physics!

My friend Streen (man, I should get peoples’ real names ;)) wanted this image, so I thought I’d post it, but also include the text surrounding it.

A spacecraft cruising through space may gain or lose speed, even if its engines are shut off, because gravity can accelerate it forward or backward. However, an electromagnetic [...]

Rededication

After just a few weeks of classes, I’m losing some focus. During the summer, it was easy - three courses, five days a week. I really like that model.
Now, having it fragmented up, more courses per week but different days spent in them, it changes things. Technically, I spend 150 minutes in [...]

Remembrances

Edit: 01/03/03 1:45pm - the post was on the group blog, regarding cutting [...]

Persistence

Today’s Franklin Covey © quote of the day:
We are made to persist. That’s how we find out who we are.
–Tobias Wolff
Thinking about this quote makes me think of my current education. I’m working on persisting through the drudgery that is higher education in order to get my degree. Then again, this semester [...]

Burdens

So I finally finished summer school today. It feels like this huge burden has been lifted from my shoulders. The classes were tough, but I feel like I did well. I know I got one A, and I think the other two are B’s, so that’s awesome.
I’m so thankful to have a [...]
