Google Ads
Well, I finally instituted Google Ads. I’d planned on doing so at some point, sometime back, but I was shot down at the time because I’m a blog. I guess they lightened up now. I put a strip of ads along the bottom here, now because I’m trying to make a fast buck, but because I’m curious as to what ads will show. Also, I’ve put ads on the crazy eBay mom page, because I’m hoping to generate some money that’ll help with hosting costs. Let’s see how that goes. The ads on the main blog are at the bottom of the page, but they’re at the top on the crazy eBay mom page, so that they load fast. So far, those ads are all about bird cages. I wonder how they’ll differ.

:D Same reason I added Google Ads to my blog – nobody has clicked on any yet, and I haven’t expected them to. I just wanted to know what would show up for the most part.
Amazingly, so far I’m actually getting about a 0.2% clickthrough rate. That’s not too bad.
Not bad at all, I think mine are a bit too out-of-the-way, but I don’t want to put them someplace they might seem intrusive. I might play around with their positioning a bit some day. For now I’m content just to see what comes up though.
I am more interested in the eBay mom story. Whoever her son is,
please contact me. Thanks
ebay mom photos!!! Great work! My mom, too, is addicted to ebay, but her hoarding is limited to clothes for the time being. also the butt sculpure is great! Cheers.
ps there seems to be an issue on 1024×768 resolution when posting a comment – the textarea thing expands too far to the right and becomes hidden behind the navigation – hope this helps
I think the Google Ads was a GREAT idea. Every so often I get the link for Crazy Ebay Mom sent
to me and I’m glad it might generate at least enough money to cover it’s traffic.
IF you ever want to dith those Popular Sciences under the table – I’d give you $50 plus shipping
Hehe – you could hold a Virtual Yard Sale with this photos.
I do find one thing weird about the google ads – they seem to focus solely on the bird cages out of all that text.
So the food is all past (well-past) its due date and there’s no where to sit… how do they cook? Is it take-out all the time?
Looking at those pictures, I have an urge to pitch everything I’ve ever bought, to clear every surface in my home. YIKES!
