New Years, 2007

Happy New Year!

Lisa and I rang in the new year much like we did last year — playing World of Warcraft. They do fireworks and such at a few cities, and it’s really quite amusing and fun. That being said, our server’s new year is Pacific, and we’re Mountain, so the server didn’t do the big ring-in until 1am. That’s okay though, because we were busy defeating the Scarlet Crusade deep in the heart of Stratholme. I also got my gnome warrior to 60 (current max level), which is fun. We played a TON of WoW on my week off.

Tomorrow is a return to work. Part of me is ready, part of me wants one more day.

I have a lot of thoughts on resolutions and such. I might draft up a bigger post at some point. I will say that I would like to accomplish a couple of the generic resolutions, such as eating better, exercising more, and losing weight. Unlike last year, I’m feeling a much stronger drive for self-improvement, so let’s hope I can hit those.

I also think I need to resolve to spend a little less time on the Internet. Between comics and blogs and forums, I spend easily an hour a day, average, if not more. I realize that may not be so bad in some ways, but I’d bet it’s really more time than that in reality — that’s just a rough guess and is probably on the low end. Now that Lisa is unemployed, I don’t several hours a night to myself, and so I feel that prioritizing my time to spend more with her would be a good thing. It’s been really nice to have this week with her, even if we did get a little cabin fever during the second freak snowstorm mid-week. Hopefully we’ll get some of those pictures up shortly.

I hope your new year has started off wonderfully. I know I had a good first day of the year.
