I need to start saving

I know I’m due to post a real update of sorts, but, this little bit of news has just made my day. Thanks Mark.

While Mark originally linked me to 1up, I prefer Joystiq’s article on the topic, as it doesn’t have a snarky little comment at the end, plus it has a nice picture of the SoC board:
Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, and Alhambra on Xbox Live Arcade

While I don’t own Alhambra (although it does seem interesting), I own both Settlers of Catan (along with the Cities & Knights expansion), as well as Carcassonne (with the river, inns & cathedrals, and even the next expansion although we don’t use that one often, if at all). I absolutely love SoC and Carcassonne, and the thought of getting to play it online with others at my convenience? Well, that’s nearly pushing me over the edge.

Reasons to buy a 360 now (in a random-ish order):

• Rockstar’s Table Tennis — I know, it sounds ridiculous, but I love table tennis, and I hear it’s actually an amusing game.
• Street Fighter II on Xbox Live Arcade — even if I’ve heard it’s not so great
• Lisa repeatedly asking me “Why don’t we have a 360 again?” over the past few months (I’m not joking).
• Dead Rising — I’m not a big horror or zombie fan, but c’mon, I want to at least play this game once.
• SoC and Carcassonne on Xbox Live Arcade

Too many things to burn money! Aside from wanting an Xbox 360 now (I think I can officially say I want one now), I still want to be able to buy Guitar Hero II at release, as well as Final Fantasy XII and a Wii and Final Fantasy III on the DS. On top of that, we’re also considering maybe building a new PC (as ours is pretty dated, it’s pushing five years) and all sorts of other costly house changes. I suppose compared to say, new carpet, that my desires are fairly cheap for the most part.

I wonder how much I could get for a kidney.
